PM Modi to Hold Bilateral Meeting with President Biden as He Departs for US to Attend Quad Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a three-day visit to the United States, during which he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden and participate in the Quad summit.

In a post shared on X, Modi expressed his enthusiasm for the visit, mentioning his participation in various events, including the Quad Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, hosted by President Biden. He noted that the summit would bring together leaders from the Quad nations, including Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, to discuss peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

Modi emphasized that his upcoming meeting with President Biden would offer a chance to explore fresh opportunities to advance the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which aims to benefit both nations and the global community. He also highlighted the Quad forum as a crucial platform for like-minded nations to collaborate on regional and global challenges.

Apart from his engagement at the Quad Summit, Modi will attend the UN’s “Summit of the Future” in New York. He described this event as a critical moment for the international community to outline a roadmap for a peaceful and secure future, noting that India, representing one-sixth of the global population, has a significant stake in shaping humanity’s future.

Looking ahead, Modi noted that India would be hosting the next Quad summit in 2025.
